Yes, we are bias! Learn About Us. Regardless, we firmly believe that our recommendation for you to obtain PeopleCert-IASSC Lean Six Sigma Certification is sound and well-reasoned.

 

Open Source Six Sigma’s parent company is Red Stake Inc, who maintains an ongoing, limited, financial interest in the performance of The International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC) through its’ relationship with The PeopleCert Cert Group who wholly acquired IASSC from Red Stake Inc in 2020.

 

Lawyers might call this a disclosure. Some people might call it a great selling point. Mostly we don’t think anyone really cares either way - except maybe a couple persnickety competitors. People just want really great Lean Six Sigma products & service, and thats exactly what we strive to deliver.

Although we recommend it, you are not required to pair our training with PeopleCert (IASSC) Certification.

 

Maybe you want to get a certification from another certification body like the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or International Standards Institute (ISO). Sure, go for it- we’ll help you learn LSS. Maybe you want to prepare for an internal organization certification from a company like Ford, Amazon, Pfizer or Bank of America. Great, go for it - we’ll help you learn LSS.  Maybe you are receiving some training at a university or graduate program or even from another commercial Lean Six Sigma training provider (there are plenty of really good ones) and want a supplement to help earn their certification. No problem, go for it- we’ll help you learn LSS. Maybe you just want to learn Lean Six Sigma simply for its value in performing your job and couldn’t care less about “Certification”. Thats awesome, go for it - we’ll help you learn LSS. 

 

We can’t specifically speak to how every slide of our training aligns to any other standard besides PeopleCert (IASSC) but chance are pretty high that we cover most, if not all of what other organizations test.

 

3. Open Source Six Sigma is not a Certification Body

Upon completion of SixCamp training courses we automatically issue a ‘Certificate of Course Completion’. This certificate is issued to any learner who completes the phases, modules and assessments of a SixCamp training course. 

 

The intended purpose of SixCamp training is not to “Certify” you, it is to teach you the Lean Six Sigma method. Simply put, how to properly use and apply the analytical tools to solve problems, reduce defects, increase yields, gain greater control and understanding of your processes, increase efficiency and deliver measurable bottom-line impact. 

 

The ‘Certificate of Course Completion’ is not intended to be an official ‘Lean Six Sigma Certification.’ We do not verify your identity and conduct monitored (invigilated / proctored) testing in a controlled environment with rigorous psychometric exams specifically designed to test your knowledge. A ‘Lean Six Sigma Certification’ exam with integrity generally does because its' intended to be a statement or verification of a persons professional competency.
